PACIFIC OCEAN (Jul. 13, 2016) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Martin Carvajal tows a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163 on to the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) port-side aircraft elevator. Makin Island is conducting integrated training with Amphibious Squadron Five and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
