Description: Cobra Head and upper Schroter's Valley. The broud outer channel of Schroter's Valley consists of numerous more or less straight segments that join at angles, but the inner channel is truly sinuous. Cobra Head is near the high point of the Aristarchus Plateau and due north of Herodotus Crater. In this view toward the southwest, the remnants of an older, wider and higher channel can be seen along the segment of the rille that trends toward the camera. Image was taken during Revolution 70 of the Apollo 15 mission. Original film magazine was labeled P,film type was S0368 (Color Exterior Ektachrome MS,color Reversal),80mm lens with a sun elevation of 14 degrees. Approximate altitude was 107 km with a Principal Point Latitude 25.5 N by Longitude 50.5 W with a Camera Tilt of 50 degrees and an azimuth of 170 degrees.
