An Afghan National Army soldier with 1st Brigade, 215th Corps, applies a tourniquet on simulated casualty during a combat medic course here, April 26, 2012. This eight-week course instructed by ANA soldiers and supervised by U.S. Marines and sailors with the Regimental Combat Team 5 Brigade Advisor Team, trained ANA soldiers in the basic skills needed to provide effective care to fellow soldiers wounded on the battle field.
