Index data: 1-3, Potter putting cotton caulking in the seams of the bottom planks; 4-5, View of the bottom of the boat with the first dozen or so bottom planks, showing also a clamp at about the half way mark, drawing in the sides of the boat to about five feet, four inches which is the appropriate breadth of the boat.
