PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 09, 2018) Sailors aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious assault ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) participate in a simulated strait transit with the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) and the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) during the Navy's first Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality, and interoperability of participating units.
