Afghan Commandos with the Afghan National Army’s 3rd

Afghan Commandos with the Afghan National Army’s 3rd Commando Kandak, advised by U.S. Navy SEALs with Special Operations Task Force – South, participate in a sand-table rehearsal in preparation for an upcoming village-clearing operation in Shah Wali Kot District, June 14, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Operations such as these are conducted in order to promote the Government of Afghanistan, while denying Taliban influence throughout the province.
