Haney, commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet, explains how an Imperial Japanese armor piercing round caused the destruction of the USS Arizona on Dec. 7, 1941, to Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera after a wreath laying ceremony aboard USS Arizona Memorial. During his three-day visit to Hawaii, the Defense Minister will meet with senior military officials to reaffirm the U.S.-Japan alliance and discuss mutual security challenges in the vital Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
