US COAST GUARD ACADEMY GRADUATION

New London, CT (May 17)--Rendering honors and singing to the National Anthem are (L to R) Academy Assistance Superintendent Capt. Thomas Park, Assistant Commandant for Civil Rights Walter Sommerville, Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Maryland), Commandant of the Coast Guard Adm. James M. Loy, Secretary of Transportation Rodney E. Slater, President William J. Clinton, Academy Superintendent Rear Adm. Douglas H. Teeson, Defense Attache, Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago Colonel John Sandy and Deputy Secretary of Transportation Mortimer L. Downey. President Clinton delivered the Coast Guard's 119th Commencement address to the Class of 2000 at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.
