Script alphabet 1" in dark rose. 1" flowery alphabet in dark rose. 1 1/4" letters in dark blue & medium blue starting on letter "U." Tree and flower in lower right corner.; Block letters, like those in this sampler, are typically found in Quaker samplers. Needlework projects, including samplers, were often not finished because the tuition ran out for schooling or the teacher quit. This sampler features cross stitch and eyelet stitches.
