A U.S. Marine with 2d Tank Battalion, 2d Marine Division, ground guides M1A1 Abrams tanks through a tank trail on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, July 27, 2020. For nearly 80 years, 2d Tank Battalion left the tank lot and would return after combat or training operations. This time, the tanks will not return.
