A Soldier with the 14th Brigade Engineer Battalion sharpens his pulaski tool during mop-up operations of the August Complex wildland fire Sept. 4, 2020, in Mendocino National Forest. Mop-up operations help remove burning or hazardous material from previously burned areas to ensure the wildfire does not reignite.
