A salt/sand storage facility that was constructed earlier
Summary
A salt/sand storage facility that was constructed earlier in 2019 by Platt Construction of Tomah, Wis., is shown Nov. 22, 2019, at Fort McCoy, Wis. Platt Construction received a $555,000 contract to build the facility. The new facility is capable of storing 2,000 tons of salt and 2,000 tons of sand with a partition between the two products. The facility is designed to prevent direct contact of the salt with precipitation or with run-off from rain or ice and snow melt. Fort McCoy's Directorate of Public Works coordinated the project construction. (U.S. Army Photo by Scott T. Sturkol, Public Affairs Office, Fort McCoy, Wis.)
