A mutilated soldier in General Maleterre's hospital for cases which require repeated operations, help to pass the time by making this boat while lying in bed. He presented it to the Chief of the Bureau for the re-education of Mutiles, American Red Cross, in recognition of the help which the ARC gave in adding a much needed ward to the hospital
