Let the children work through the experimentssystematically, though some of them may be omittedor postponed if thought desirable. The less-advancedchildren should be allowed to do portions of experi-ments. 2. Each childs note-book, with the record of the ex-periments, should be examined frequently by the teacher,and initialled. 3. A shelf, cupboard, or table should be reserved forapparatus and specimens used in connection with thiswork. Wooden boxes and cloth bags will be founduseful. 4. A stock set of apparatus (e.g. glasses, funnels)should be kept, and lent to the children when required. 5. The first step in work of this sort is invariably thehardest. 6.
