A C-17 Globemaster III departs Beira Airport, Mozambique, April 2, 2019, after delivering relief supplies, equipment and personnel supporting Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) for the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) relief effort in the Republic of Mozambique and surrounding areas following Cyclone Idai. Teams from CJTF-HOA, which is leading DoD support to relief efforts in Mozambique, began immediate preparation to respond following a call for assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Disaster Assistance Response Team.
