80-G-700314: Blimps carrying radar find it as vital to their operations as do planes. In the pilot’s compartment an adjustable PPI scope protrudes, swings from the overhead beside the rudderman’s seat. A tube like visor padded at the viewing end to prevent injury when the craft pitches in high winds, insures the exclusion of flight provides a sharp definition of the scope.
