201010-N-PS962-0070 RED SEA (Oct. 10, 2020) – Fire Controlman 2nd Class Kathleen Chapa, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81), attaches painted, tea and coffee stained paper leaves to a handmade wreath for use during the 20th anniversary of the Oct. 12, 2000 attack on the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67), Oct. 10. Winston S. Churchill is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
