200416-N-HR150-1003 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 16, 2020) - Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Adam Painton, from Prescott Valley, Arizona, tests boiler feed water in the oil lab of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Boiler water testing is conducted regularly to ensure proper conductivity, alkalinity and chlorination of feed water. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
