1943 Canadian 50 cents (49851524146)
Summary
Dies used to strike coins were not replaced as frequently as they should have been due to steel being needed for the war effort. This coin shows how deteriorated the dies had become with clash marks and die breaks.
The obverse (the "heads" side) shows a die break from the bottom of the King's bust to the rim, while the reverse shows clash marks, a faint ghost image of the King's bust where the dies came together without a planchet between them.
I've added some notes to the image showing the problems.
