170209-N-NJ416-0131 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 9, 2017) – Hull Maintenance Technician Fireman Ashlyn Hall, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), tests fuel for impurities in the ship’s oil laboratory. The routine test is conducted to check for impurities that may cause damage to equipment on a daily basis.
