160707-M-PJ210-056 ARABIAN SEA (Sept. 7, 2016) Marines with Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), debark in order to improve water operability during splash training aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41), Sept. 7, 2016, in order to improve proficiency moving from ship-to-shore and to maintain readiness. 22nd MEU, deployed with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, is maintaining regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
