12th Geo soldiers provide security in river valley

Georgian soldiers patrol with and mentor Afghan National Security Force soldiers in northern Helmand province. Their area of operations includes Sangin and parts of the Helmand River Valley. During their time in Helmand province, Georgian soldiers have helped Afghan forces conduct multiple clearing operations. Colonel A. E. “Sparky” Renforth, RCT-7 commanding officer, said the Georgians have made a significant impact in their AO by destroying weapons and improvised explosive device caches.
