Louis Fleckenstein was known for his use of natural light and his ability to capture the personality and character of his subjects. He also experimented with various photographic techniques, including the use of soft focus and the manipulation of negatives to create artistic effects. In addition to his portrait work, Fleckenstein was also a keen traveller and photographer of landscapes and architecture. He travelled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, capturing images of famous landmarks and natural wonders. Fleckenstein's work was widely exhibited and he received numerous awards and honours throughout his career. He was a member of several professional photographic organisations, including the Photographic Society of America and the American Society of Photographers. Louis Fleckenstein died in 1943 at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of extraordinary photographic work that continues to inspire and influence photographers today.
