Zusammenfassung

At sea aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Oct. 16, 2002 -- During a “bio-contamination drill” aboard the Kitty Hawk, Hospital Corpsman 1st class Felixberto Ocampo from Cauite, Republic of the Philippines, takes a test sampling of the ‘unknown’ simulated contaminant to determine whether or not it is hazardous. Kitty Hawk's current mission is to provide a forward presence in the Asia/Pacific region, conduct training and exercises with regional allies, and, as America’s “9-1-1” Battle Group, remain available to respond to emergent national taskings when and where needed. Kitty Hawk is the world’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier and operates out of Yokosuka, Japan. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 3rd class Jo Wilbourn. (RELEASED)
