Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) are endemic to interior western and central North America. In North America they are commonly referred to as pronghorn antelope or simply antelope as it closely resembles the true antelopes of the Old World. They can run exceptionally fast and they are often cited as the second-fastest land animal, second only to the cheetah. This male was photographed at a greater sage-grouse lek near Bridgeport, CA.
