The route of the electric line follows Illi-nois River quite closely for a greater part of its length, and for aconsiderable distance lies between the Illinois River and the Illinois&• Michigan Canal. The surface nf the cminlry i* bnikcn and in road leaves LaSalle it makes a crossing with the Illinois Centralrailroad, and has a short but steep descent of 7 per cent down tothe river valley. A short distance beyond this it crosses the Ver-million River, and the next and principal point of scenic interest
