I THE SUXBE.iM. speak ?— Good people, I am not wasting time.I am up every morning before the sun. Imilk the cows and draw water from the well andweed the garden. To-day I have been ridingthe horse. This is the w^ay that I help my fatluM-when he works with his plough. Do you want to know what my father doeswith his plough ? He heaps up the ground, sothat by and by we can plant corn and potatoes.It is noon now : I am stopping to rest. ^ Beg your pardon, little boy. You are bothbusy and brave. We must be careful not toblame people before we kn.ow the truth aboutthem. When we have bread or corn-cakes or potatoesfor breakfast, we will think of the little countryboy and his long whip and dog.
