Mitglieder der Fairborn Ohio High School Junior ROTC Unit 103 Männer-Hydratationsstationen und jubeln, als die Teilnehmer des 23. Marathons der US-Luftwaffe ihren Weg durch die Fairborn Skyzone auf ihrem Weg zur Ziellinie auf der Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, am 21. September 2019 antreten. An den diesjährigen Läufen nahmen mehr als 12.700 Läufer aus allen 50 Staaten und 15 Ländern teil. Mehr als 2600 freiwillige Helfer waren das ganze Wochenende über bei den verschiedenen Veranstaltungen im Einsatz. Die Marathonstrecken führen durch die umliegenden Städte rund um Wright-Patt und dienen dazu, den Geburtstag und die Geschichte der US-Luftwaffe im Geburtsort der Luftfahrt zu feiern.
