Honoré Daumier - French artist, caricaturist, and sculptor who lived in the 19th century. He was imprisoned several times for his satirical lithographs and drawings that mocked political and social issues, critical of the French government and the bourgeoisie.
Honoré-Victorin Daumier (* 26. Februar 1808 in Paris; † 10. Februar 1879 in Paris) war ein französischer Grafiker, Karikaturist, Maler und Bildhauer, dessen zahlreiche Werke das gesellschaftliche und politische Leben in Frankreich im 19. Jahrhundert kommentieren. Daumier schuf über 500 Gemälde, 4000 Lithographien, 1000 Holzstiche, 1000 Zeichnungen und 100 Skulpturen.
