Danville Semi-Steel Cars for Mexico—First-Class Passenger Car. class closed trailer car bodies of the same dimensions werealso built at Danville for this street railway system. The interior finish of the cars, including doors, sashes andmoldings, is of ash. The side sills are of yellow pine with asteel plate between. Subsidiary sills on each side for the truckare also framed of yellow pine,while the end and cross sills are ofoak. The body framing is of ashand the longitudinal rails and platesof yellow pine. The sides of thecars are covered longitudinally withtongued and grooved yellow pineand from the arm rail down are cov-ered with No. 14 sheet steel inpanels. The interior sides of thecar are of No. 14 sheet steel rivetedtogether in one length and formingan interior truss. The roof is ofthe monitor deck type, extendingthe entire length of the body.
