Achille Deveria was a French painter, lithographer and photographer born in 1807 in Paris and died in 1857. He was a student of the famous French painter Ingres. He was known for his portraits and genre paintings, but also made a considerable contribution to photography in his time. He was one of the first French photographers to experiment with the daguerreotype process, and he quickly gained a reputation for his skill and artistry. His photographic work is mostly known for his portraits and landscapes.

Deveria was born in Paris in 1800. He was the son of a painter and was trained in art from an early age. He became famous for his lithographs, which were highly detailed and often depicted scenes from everyday life. Deveria's lithographs were popular in France in the 19th century and he was considered one of the leading lithographers of his time. He also painted portraits and landscapes, but it was his lithographs that brought him the most recognition. Deveria died in Paris in 1857.
