The leaflet reads:
ALL LULUAIS, TULTULS AND GOVERNMENT BOYS.
We have defeated the Japanese and gained control of Salamaua, Lae and Finschafen.
Most of the Japanese soldiers are marooned and they want to force you to help them and work for them.
You know that in the past theu have hurt and abused many locals from Rabaul in the manner, also some locals have been by our powerful bombs.
Keep away from the Japanese, there is no need for you to be killed for nothing.
If you get this message out soldiers are nearby, so some and fine the Patrol Officer who is with them.
