Marines with Regimental Combat Team 7 navigate through a flooded off-road trail during a rough terrain driving exercise, May 3. The exercise, a part of “Spartan Resolve 3-2012,” trained the Marines to maneuver through difficult and treacherous terrain designed to simulate Afghanistan’s driving surfaces. Spartan Resolve 3-2012 is a pre-deployment exercise designed to prepare Marines and sailors for their upcoming deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan.
