Letter from Parentha Bodwell, Simsbury, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Jan 7th 1827

Amos A. Phelps’s cousin, Parentha Bodwell, writes to Phelps about their friend, Mary, and her plan to marry a man named Ennis, which Bodwell believes to be of dubious character. Having recently visited Phelps’s hometown, Farmington, Bodwell relates some news about Phelps’s mother and his friends.
