BALTIMORE (Sep. 13, 2014) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Jonathan Greenert, and his wife Darleen, cross the brow of the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) to join the governor of Maryland, ambassadors, heads of navy, fellow flag officers and international navy delegates at a NATO reception. The event was hosted by Commander, NATO Maritime Group 2 and the commanding officer of Leyte Gulf in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner poem written by Francis Scott Key in 1814, which later was set to music and in 1931 became America's national anthem.
