Captain Henry Wizner in Bust View

LIBI_00019_00231; This item is an albumen carte-de-visite (card-mounted photograph) of Captain Henry Wizner in bust view. The photograph is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2" mounted and was produced in 1862 by G. Grelling of Detroit, Michigan. On the verso, a handwritten notation in brown ink reads, "Capt. Henry Wizner/Detroit, 1862." The photographer's stamp is printed in black ink. Catalog numbers 230-235 were originally in an envelope addressed to Elizabeth Custer.
