Brooklyn Museum - One of the Twelve Bodhisattvas

This is a woodcut of Jyunidai Gongen (十二大権現, which means the Great Gongen of twelve), a goddess enshrined in Mount Ontake, Nagano, Japan, who is believed to save twelve hungry kids of a poor couple.
