A young Afghan man teaches a brief class to his fellow students at the District Governor Center in Nawa, Afghanistan, during an exercise as part of training to become teachers for an adult literacy program, Sept. 16. Marines from 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, conducted a training seminar with 31 Afghans to qualify and prepare them to teach their fellow countrymen in a new adult literacy program and also to fill in as substitute teachers when schools in Nawa require assistance.
