Summary

A bulldozer creates a berm during the opening week of Operation Double Check. The berm surrounds an elevated post constructed by Marines with 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, to help Afghan Uniformed Police patrolmen maintain security and order in an area that has been plagued by an active insurgency in recent years. Second Platoon is working in direct support of 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, during the operation.
