Summary
Swami Paramananda, a direct disciple of Swami Vivekananda.
Known as Suresh Guhathakurta in his pre-monastic days, Swami Paramananda was born in a distinguished family in 1884 in what Swami Paramananda in the West is now known as Bangladesh. Inspired by the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, he once visited Belur Math in 1901 in the company of some older men from his village. He met Swami Vivekananda there and was deeply impressed by this meeting and joined Belur Math as a
monastic aspirant.
