Summary
Original figures of "Chrysomela goettingensis" Linnæus, 1758, extracted from Rösel 1749, volume 2 Tab. V. Current name Timarcha goettingensis (Linnæus, 1758). Linnæus gave a reference to Rösel's plate and to a collector Pehr Forsskål, who studied in Göttingen and returned to Uppsala in 1756. Rösel 1749 did not mention Göttingen, so we should assume the name was given because Pehr Forsskål brought him collected material from Göttingen.
