Loftin Collection - Bellanca "Skyrocket, NASA history collection
Summary
The Bellanca "Skyrocket" was a popular aircraft of the 1920's and 1930's, and was used in many record breaking long distance and endurance flights. One outstanding flight was made in 1931 by Russell Boardman and John Polando who broke the world's long distance record by flying non-stop from New York to Istanbul, Turkey.
