Upon examination, the tumour was found to consist of a solid miws,presenting to the hand, when passed over its surface, numerous snuillrounded elevations, resembling duck-shot. The entire tumour comnm-nicated to the touch a feeling of elasticity. It was not surrounded by adistinct cyst, but was enveloped by a mass of condensed cellular tissue,which adhered rather closely to it. Its section presented the character ofa tibro-cystic growth, the librous elements preponderating, and formingthroughout the tumour, numerous bands of variable length and con-sistence, crossing each other in every direction, the interspaces beingfilled by small cysts of different forms, some being spheroidal, flthersflattened, and all containing a darkish yellow fhiid, tinged with blood.
