Summary

Curtiss XBFC-1 (XF11C-1) Goshawk: The NACA equipped the Navy's Curtis XBFC-1 fighter-bomber with an experimental nose-slot cowling for ground testing in October 1937. Measurements of the XBFC-1's cockpit field of view were also undertaken while the craft was at Langley. The aircraft was returned to the Navy in 1939.
