description

Summary

Col. Tim Watson (left), commander of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, greets Ronald Myers, who accepted the Bronze Star Medal on behalf of his uncle Pvt. Max Myers, during a ceremony Nov. 1 at the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum. Myers, who was assigned to the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, was killed on Oct. 7, 1944, during Operation Market Garden in Holland. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his exemplary performance of duty against enemy forces during that operation. The 4th BCT derives its lineage from the 508th PIR. (Photo by Sgt.
