The usual positive eliniealsymptoms of gall stone were entirelywarning. Physical examination of theliver yielded negative resnlts. but thegall bladder seemed distended withstones. The friction of the stones uponeach other could be heard with the ances. Short attacks of colic occurredat intervals for some months, followedby an intermission and a return of theparoxisms.
